Students of Big Creative Academy continue to be positive force going out into the creative industries and the Class of 2025 are a truly impressive cohort.
Today, students opened their envelopes with their results. They have done incredibly well and we are pleased to announce a vocational pass rates of 99%. Many students have achieved a distinction grade, which is equivalent to three A*s at A Level. Congratulations to everyone!
We’re very proud of the incredible work our young people have produced over the last two years. This has included a production of In the Heights, two nights of music performances at Soul Mama and a denim jacket design absolutely everyone wanted. Have a look at the highlights reel to remind yourself of everything our students have achieved.
Most of our students have got into their top choice university and special congratulations go to our art student Marley who is going to Central St Martins to do Graphic and Media Design. Many of our young people are going to the other University of the Arts, London colleges – London College of Fashion, Chelsea School of Art and London College of Communication.
We have students going to Russell Group universities with shout outs for Ihechimereka going to do Mathematics and Music at the University of Birmingham and Amber taking her love of Japanese fashion into Japanese Studies at the University of Sheffield.
Our talented drama learners have got into drama schools, so well done to Ciara going to Guildhall and Audrey going to ArtsEd. Congrats also to Danica who is currently starring in the stage version of Stranger Things in the West End.
Higher education isn’t the only way to go these days, and we must mention Damali and Cavarlli taking their performance skills into the property sector doing business administration apprenticeships.
We’re especially proud of Haider and Samuel who have done our inclusive employability programme for students with EHCPs who are now doing an apprenticeship as a teaching assistant and starting an HTQ with Chicken Shed Theatre.
Well done to all the parents and carers who have supported their young person through their qualification with us. You’ve done an amazing job in encouraging your young person to follow their passion. If you or your young person need any help, please get in touch with the careers and we have plenty of inspiration for you.
You might have seen that we had a student reunion this year, and it was wonderful to catch up with where our students are now. They are changing the face of the creative industries and the Class of 2025 will too.
