Frequenly Asked Questions

It is recommended that you begin to apply for apprenticeships about 1 month prior to finishing your education as we aim to fill our apprenticeship vacancies ASAP.
The application closing dates are not final. If the role is visible on our website, it has not been filled so you may apply.

Yes! Graduates can apply for apprenticeships as long as their degree isn’t the same as the apprenticeship standard they intend to apply for.

For example, if you have a Digital Marketing degree( from within the last 3 years), you will not be able to apply for a Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship as you would have just recently graduated and already achieved a qualification higher than a level 3. If you have a Digital Marketing Degree and would like to apply for an Events apprenticeship, then this is acceptable.

It’s also important to ensure that you meet the other eligibility criteria (see here).

There is no such thing as being “too old” for an apprenticeship. The age criteria for an apprenticeship is 16+.

It’s also important to ensure that you meet the other eligibility criteria (see here).

If you completed IGCSEs and achieved a grade 4/C or above in Maths & English then you are eligible to apply for our apprenticeships.

If you completed a different qualification in high school or outside of the UK, you will need to visit the ECCTIS website to translate your English and Maths qualifications to see if they’re equivalent to GCSEs.

https://www.enic.org.uk (follow the guidance)

(Different rules apply for Scotland)

Through ECCTIS you will need to supply a statement of comparability (which will also confirm your name and date you were awarded the certificates and if it is comparable with the English English and Maths grade 4/C and above

  • Comparable with relevant English/Maths Framework (Regulated qualification Level 2)

Or

  • Comparable with relevant English/Maths GCSE (Grade 4 and above)

https://www.enic.org.uk/Qualifications/SoC/Default.aspx

No.

If you are 19+ you can apply for our Functional Skills English and Maths courses here.

If you are 16-18 you can apply for a Traineeship where you’d be able to redo these qualifications as part of the program.

Once you successfully achieve Level 2 in Maths and English you will then be eligible for a BCE apprenticeship.
