Welcome to Big Creative Education’s Winter Newsletter 2022!
In this issue, we celebrate the amazing things that have happened across our three campuses since September. Our learners have been lucky enough to have either visited or been visited by industry heavyweights across the entire arts spectrum, from music to TV and art to makeup.
Some of these experiences have included acting workshops with Netflix’s Top Boy star Ashly Walters, a visit to The Big Nastie Show live, makeup tutorials with Francesco Lo Cascio and much more.

Here are just a handful of things our students have got to experience recently:
Art & Design
Our Performance Arts students were graced by Topboy actor and director Ashley Walters. During the session, he gave our students exclusive advice into the world of acting, ran a performance workshop and offered inside knowledge about the making of Netflix’s hard-hitting London-based show.
Games Design & NextGen
We partnered with co-founder Nigel Twumasi of Mayamada Sessions (the world’s first manga network) for interactive workshops on an introduction to Games design. The sessions featured creating video game characters and narratives to turn their ideas into comic book storyboards.
Art & Animation
Our Art and Animation students were visited by V&A East Director Gus Casely-Hayford. The learners got to see exclusive objects from the brand new V&A East Museum with a personal talk through by the director.
Creative Media
Our Creative Media students were provided exclusive access to witness Channel 4’s Big Narstie Show Live at BBC Television Studio. They met the crew, cast and Mr Narstie himself and found out how the show is made.
