WELCOME TO BIG CREATIVE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL

Bic Creative Independent School

We are an alternative to school for year 10/11 & learners interested in Creative Music and Media, who do not feel their current schooling engages them in this area enough for them to succeed.

It is a Full time course that runs 5 days a week, led by qualified teachers who are also current industry professionals.

At BCIS we use only the highest spec equipment, including the latest Apple Mac computers and industry professional software leading to high quality results and outcomes.

Our Mission

To transform the lives of young people through inspirational teaching, providing exceptional access to career opportunities in the creative industries.

Our Vision

To be recognised as an outstanding provider and to ensure our graduates are empowered to lead purposeful lives with integrity.

Our Values

To place the well-being and development of our young people and the local community at the heart of the organisation.

COURSE MANAGERS WELCOME

“I am extremely proud to be the Course Manager of BCIS. The dedicated staff team here work tirelessly to ensure that our young people receive the best education and care possible. We aim to provide our learners with an engaging, relevant curriculum that meets their needs and ensure they receive the support they need whilst encouraging independence in their learning.

One of the key strengths of BCIS is the development of positive relationships between young people and their tutor team; we offer a warm and welcoming, down to earth environment where everyone feels valued and safe, which we believe is a key ingredient to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our young people.

As a creative School, we provide our young people with a range of opportunities to enable them to shine whether it’s through their singing, acting, writing, productions, art or sports. We also provide the opportunity for our young people to achieve at least the national levels in reading, writing and maths.

BCIS also offers a breakfast club, a range of after school and holiday activities, a counsellor and careers advice team.

At BCIS we will ensure each young person meets their full potential, and will experience a range of opportunities, which will raise their aspirations. Through strong links with a range of partners we will ensure our learners leave us having been taught to think, problem solve, work collaboratively, express themselves showing tolerance and respect so they are capable, confident individuals.

Our vision is to be recognised as an outstanding provider and to ensure our graduates are empowered to lead purposeful lives with integrity.”
