1. Wireless 

Where: Finsbury Park, London

Wireless is London’s ultimate summer music festival featuring an epic-sized lineup that’s perfect for fans of hip-hop, grime and R&B. The festival continues to host the biggest names from the UK and US rap scenes year after year. Camping is not available at Wireless meaning that you can go back to your own comfy bed or relax in a hotel after a great day.

2. Boardmasters

Where: Newquay, Cornwall
When: 9th-13th August

Boardmasters is a festival of both surfing and music set against Newquay’s stunning coastline. Alongside a packed electronic and rock lineup, you can catch surfers competing for titles on Fistral Beach. The festival hosts 10 stages featuring local acoustic artists, visual performers and world-class headliners.

3. Parklife 

Where: Heaton Park, Manchester

Parklife has been delivering the party to Manchester for 10 years, being one of the most popular festivals in the North-West, featuring big names from across the genre spectrum. Parklife is also known for being one of the most student-friendly music festivals due to its’ affordable ticket prices and is therefore popular amongst Manchester’s large student population. No camping is available so accommodation is needed nearby.

4. Reading & Leeds 

Where: Richfield Avenue, Reading & Bramham Park, Leeds

Reading and Leeds Festival has been a staple of youth culture for decades, taking place on the same August Bank Holiday weekend in 2 cities, with the artists rotating between the 2 locations. Reading and Leeds started out as a more rock-focused festival, however, it now offers a varied line-up of some of the biggest names in music. Attendance is a rite of passage for all music lovers!

6. Boomtown

Where: Matteney Estate, Winchester

The festival has grown rapidly into one of the UK’s wildest and most immersive independent festivals, with attendees “embarking on a journey of discovery” packed full of theatrical and creative masterpieces with six different districts to explore. The Boomtown line-up features music from across the globe, with a variety of stages celebrating different genres.

The lineup was announced just before the festival so details are to be announced but expect multi-genre and some big names.

7. Creamfields South

Where: Hylands Park, Chelmsford
When: 26th-28th May

Creamfields decided to bring their award-winning festival down South, bringing the latest names in the dance music scene for one massive party in Chelmsford. The festival is a raver’s paradise, boasting impressive stage settings and pyrotechnics. There’s also a Creamfields North festival taking place in August set in rural Cheshire.
