Modular Media – Video Editor Apprentice

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Modular Media. This role is ideal for a junior video editor with strong foundational skills who is eager to grow, take on new challenges and broaden their experience in a fast-paced creative environment. You’ll work closely with our team to support a range of projects, with clear opportunities to develop your craft and expand your responsibilities over time.

The role is mainly based in post-production as junior editor but will require a basic understanding and interest in the whole production process. Most of our productions are run by a small crew meaning each person has multiple responsibilities and must understand the bigger picture of the job. In fitting with this, we will also involve you in pre-production and production activities.

Most of our jobs come in without much notice and so we have to be very reactive, often doubling (or more) the workload from one week to the next. But don’t worry! This is what we have built our modular system on and why we are made up of 80% freelancers.

Your day to day role will require you to be working in the studio alongside our lead producer and founder who will guide you through your regular tasks and provide relevant training.
