About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Programme and Marketing Apprentice.
Duties:
The role involves preparing progress reports and drafting proposals. It includes engaging with potential partners and managing and maintaining mailing lists. You will support event planning and workshop coordination, liaise with consultants, assist with marketing campaigns and social media activity, and ensure the timely acknowledgement of contributions.
You will support the organisation to improve business development opportunities. This includes strengthening relationships with clients and donors, streamlining development processes, and driving organisational growth. You will also research and identify funding opportunities and actively promote the organisation’s mission and values to external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills. They will also have the flexibility to support and work at events outside of contracted hours..
Role Responsibilities:
You’ll need a good level of English and a strong foundation and passion for marketing. Formal qualifications like GCSEs are helpful but not essential.
The apprenticeship programme and your employment are fully integrated. You will be expected to show strong commitment to both your job role and your training. While the majority of your time will be spent working at Makeda Makes, a dedicated part of your contracted hours will be set aside for training towards your accreditation.
We will review all future prospects upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
