Blue Raincoat Music – Office and Marketing Assistant

About the role

This role is office based 5 days per week 10am – 6pm (may be required to work unsociable hours from time to time)

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ambitious, hardworking and looking to develop their career in a fun and dynamic office space. Working with the General Manger (GM), the Office Assistant will oversee daily office operations, provide administrative support to teams (A&R, Marketing & Management), and facilitate a positive, creative work environment.

Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, ordering supplies, managing couriers, coordinating staff meetings and events, ensuring a smooth running of the office.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Smooth running of the office: Maintaining office supply inventory, managing office equipment, ordering refreshments and stationary, oversee meeting room bookings and tech, serving as the liaison with building management/vendors and IT support.

Administrative Support: Answering phones, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and processing mail/couriers. Checking company info@ mailbox. Supporting the GM with company PR/Socials/website and online platforms. Covering diary management and supporting the CEO when Executive Assistant is away.

Artist & Guest Relations: Greeting guests and assisting with artist signing parties or listening sessions.

Event/Team Support: Organising company outings / events, team-building activities, Staff birthdays and supporting administrative tasks for marketing or A&R departments.

Artist shows and events: organise ticket buys and guest lists

Onboarding: Assisting with new-hire onboarding, including health & safety, managing security fobs and workstation setups.

Training to be provided

Level 3 Multichannel Marketing

In-house mentoring

 

Personal Qualities

  • Can-do, positive attitude and a passion for music a must!

Skills Required

  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional diary management, planning, and attention to detail
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with artists, managers, and staff
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, and virtual communication tools (Zoom, Slack)
  • Ability to manage last-minute requests and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications Required

Minimum Cs in GCSE Maths / English

Things to Consider

The apprenticeship programme and your employment are fully integrated. You will be expected to show strong commitment to both your job role and your training. While the majority of your time will be spent working at Blue Raincoat Music, a dedicated part of your contracted hours will be set aside for training towards your accreditation.

About the Employer

Blue Raincoat Music is an artist management company, music publishing company and record label, founded in 2014 by Jeremy Lascelles and Robin Millar. It has offices in London, New York and Los Angeles.

In 2016 the company launched a new publishing arm and bought Chrysalis Records, one of the leading British independent labels. In 2019 Blue Raincoat Music forged a partnership with New York based independent music company Reservoir Media. Chrysalis Records then re-launched as a frontline label in February 2020, marking a return to releasing new music for the first time in over two decades.
