About the Role
The Junior Designer Apprentice will support the Creative and Marketing teams in delivering engaging, on-brand content across Mighty Hoopla’s channels. The role offers hands-on experience in content creation, graphic design, and campaign delivery, contributing to the promotion of the festival, whilst also engaging the festival’s audience and wider community.
Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will assist the design team with creating assets as well as the marketing team content creation pieces, scheduling, and general day to day admin of festival promotion. The role will be at least 50% design based with the rest falling across marketing, content creation, creative ideas as well as admin tasks like assisting on photoshoots etc.
Role will include (but not limited to):
As a proudly LGBTQ+ inclusive festival, we’re committed to building a team that reflects the communities we celebrate. We particularly encourage applications from LGBTQ+ people, people from Black, Asian and other ethnically diverse backgrounds, and those from groups currently underrepresented in the live events and creative industries. We welcome applications from everyone and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all individuals can thrive.
We see this apprenticeship as the start of a longer-term career with us. Upon successful completion, our aim is to offer the successful apprentice a permanent position with a salary of £26,000 per annum.
You’ll need a good level of English and a strong foundation in graphic design and content creation with a passion for events. Formal qualifications like GCSEs are helpful but not essential.
The apprenticeship programme and your employment are fully integrated. You will be expected to show strong commitment to both your job role and your training. While the majority of your time will be spent working at Mighty Hoopla, a dedicated part of your contracted hours will be set aside for training towards your accreditation.
We will review all future prospects upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
