About the role

Event Assistant Apprentice (Level 3 Event Assistant Apprenticeship)

Location: Bristol
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £12,500 per annum (commission applied on top) for the initial 12 months, increasing to at least National Minimum Wage thereafter
Good Life will also be funding the ‘L3 Event Assistant’ training and accreditation.

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across event delivery, marketing, operations, and business development while working within a fast-paced and creative environment.

The Role

As an Event Assistant Apprentice, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of events and projects. The role provides exposure to multiple areas of the business, helping you develop valuable event management, marketing, and organisational skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

Event & Project Support

  • Supporting the planning and coordination of events, guests, artists, and releases.
  • Assisting with event-day operations and logistics.
  • Helping manage timelines, schedules, and event preparation activities.
  • Organising assets, information, and project documentation.
  • Supporting research and development for future projects and event concepts.
  • Assisting with day-to-day organisation across multiple Good Life projects.

Marketing & Communications

  • Supporting social media and digital marketing activities.
  • Assisting with mailing lists, announcements, and communications.
  • Helping create and organise content and marketing materials.

Warehouse & Asset Management

  • Supporting warehouse organisation and maintenance.
  • Assisting with the upkeep, storage, and management of event props, equipment, and assets.
  • Helping prepare materials and resources for upcoming events.

Business Development & Sales

  • Supporting outreach and sales activities to help generate new business opportunities.
  • Assisting with lead generation and client communications.
  • Opportunity to earn commission through successful sales activity.

Administration & Development Support

  • Helping keep track of tasks, deadlines, and ongoing project work.
  • Supporting the preparation of materials and information for funding and development opportunities, including working alongside external funding writers and partners.
  • Helping bring structure to creative ideas and supporting project delivery through to completion.
Training to be provided

  • Level 3 Event Assistant
  • In-house mentoring

Skills Required

Essential

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Positive attitude and strong team-working skills.

Useful Skills (Not Essential)

  • Experience using spreadsheets or task management tools.
  • Writing and documentation skills.
  • Basic understanding of digital communication and social media platforms.
  • Previous experience in events, hospitality, production support, or customer-facing

Must be within a commutable distance to Bristol

Min Cs in Maths/English

Things to Consider

The apprenticeship programme and your employment are fully integrated. You will be expected to show strong commitment to both your job role and your training. While the majority of your time will be spent working at Good Life, a dedicated part of your contracted hours will be set aside for training towards your accreditation.
