Core Agency – Content Creator Apprentice

About the Role:

This is a hands-on development role for someone who wants to build a career in digital media and content production.

Working alongside Core’s producers and creative team, the apprentice will help research, plan, create, publish and evaluate content for podcasts, corporates, social channels, websites, campaigns and client projects. They will receive structured workplace support alongside formal Level 3 Content Creator training.

Main responsibilities

The apprentice will be supported to:

  • Help interpret creative briefs, understand their objectives and develop content ideas for defined audiences.
  • Research guests, topics, audience interests, platform trends and competitor content.
  • Assist with content plans, production schedules, storyboards, shot lists and simple project budgets.
  • Support podcast and video production, including studio preparation, recording, basic camera operation and production assistance.
  • Create and edit short-form video, audio clips, graphics, photographs and other social assets.
  • Write captions, headlines, programme descriptions, short articles, promotional copy and other platform-specific material.
  • Repurpose longer-form podcasts and videos into engaging content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other appropriate channels.
  • Apply Core’s brand identity, tone of voice and editorial standards consistently.
  • Upload, schedule and manage content using appropriate publishing and content-management tools.
  • Organise and store video, audio, image and project files securely and methodically.
  • Liaise professionally with producers, presenters, contributors, clients and external partners.
  • Observe copyright, intellectual-property, data-protection, consent, accessibility and platform requirements.
  • Monitor content performance using relevant analytics, prepare simple reports and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain a portfolio of work and evidence to support completion of the apprenticeship.
  • Keep up to date with developments in production technology, social platforms, audience behaviour and the responsible use of AI.

What we are looking for:

We are interested in potential, enthusiasm and evidence of creativity rather than extensive professional experience.
Personal projects such as videos, photography, social accounts, writing, music, design, college work or a showreel would be welcomed, but are not essential.

Applicants must:

  • Be eligible to undertake an apprenticeship in England.
  • Not be in full-time education when the apprenticeship begins.
  • Meet the eligibility and prior-learning requirements agreed with Big Creative Education.
  • Have the right to work in the UK and meet the relevant residency requirements.
