Big Creative Village was completed in September 2022 and our ambition now is to make our facilities available to local business, community groups, SMEs, and freelancers, so that they can access these resources at an affordable budget.
This page provides an overview of the facilities available across our 2 sites Digital Futures and Creative Works, both located within five minutes of Blackhorse Lane station and within the Blackhorse Creative Enterprise Zone (CEZ).
The Digital Future vision is to create a dynamic training space for full-time students and apprentices that reflects the modern working practices in Games Design, Animation, VFX, Digital Media and Post-production.
Our new campus provides a network of 20 digital studios, production suites and training spaces for all BCE Games Design, Animation and VFX courses and apprenticeships.
BCE founded Creative Works in 2018 – a brand new co-workspace for creative freelancers and employers housing a buzzing creative community of designers, animators, music and media companies.
There are a 3 high spec meeting rooms, an event space and a training suite available to hire at Creative Works for meetings, conferences and events. Located close to transport links, they are within a thriving co-work space for creatives.
Film Studio / Performance Space
The Film Studio is the perfect setting to create short films, live performances, TV production and live stream. This space is large enough to use as a multipurpose studio. The film studio features a prop store to serve as storage for ‘flats’ (fake walls) to build mini sets for film and TV production.
This space also has a semi sprung floor suitable for dance and other performance based workshops including a full length wall mirror.

E-sports Arena
This is a multipurpose dedicated e-sports arena, which can be used for social gaming, VR and digital workshops for e-sports tournaments, professional education workshops and for social gaming and parties.
You can present work to others with the large PA system and giant screen that is incorporated. There is an iPad controlled mixing desk so that live productions can be filmed in this space and open spaces designed for the use of VR, Mo-cap and mixed reality.
The BCE E-Sports Arena is also perfect for birthday parties and special occasions – please enquire for more information.

Dolby Atmos Studio
In collaboration with Dolby, Blackmagic design, Adam Audio and Focusrite Audio, we have created a fully accessible Dolby Atmos mixing and recording space where film, tv, games and in-vision sync can be produced and viewed by directors, executives and sound artists.
The dubbing studio will allow users to complete edits of their film, tv and games footage and then mix the audio with industry professional tools.

Dolby Atmos Studio
This space is able to teach a whole set of new skills in sound design for TV, film and games including ADR (dialogue replacement). The Foley studio features a large booth with raised pits in the floor for a range of floor surfaces like gravel, paving, snow in order to record realistic sound effects.
The space has a 3m wide projection wall using 4k laser projection. The mix of music, effects and dialogue is put together in this space so it has full range Dolby Atmos, 5.1 or 7.2.4 mixing available. Cutting edge technology utilises 12 speakers to create an immersive and exciting audio space.
Software available includes logic Pro and Davinci Resolve Studio, that all support the Dolby Atmos format natively plus the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
The space also includes colour grading tools to grade a projected image up to the standard for cinema projection.
