Assistant Graphic Designer Trainee – MAYAMADA

You will be responsible for creating visually appealing and effective graphics and designs to support our marketing initiatives, including social media, events, email marketing, and more.
You will be working within the Mayamada team to create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate our audience.

Working to briefs, you’ll provide sketches of what characters, props and environments might look like.You can expect to work across many areas of visual media, such as illustration, comic books, animation and print media. Your conception, or ideas, will then be used as a reference throughout the rest of the project.

Personal Qualities

This role will suit those with a passion for experimenting and finding solutions as you conceptualise and develop creative ideas to meet the Mayamada brand’s visual style and objectives.

Skills Required

– Digital illustration and design
– Conceptualising ideas
– Creative problem solving
– Bringing designs to life
– Experience in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) or equivalent.
– Good attention to detail and ability to work within brand guidelines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Things to Consider

A traineeship is a programme consisting of vocational training, work preparation training and a work experience placement. You must be willing to commit to all elements of the programme. If you have not achieved your Maths/English GCSEs at grade 4 or above or Level 2 Functional Skills, you will study towards these qualifications during your traineeship.

Future prospects will be reviewed upon completion of your Traineeship.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?
To meet the criteria for this apprenticeship you must be:
  • 16-18 (19-year-olds are acceptable if they were 18 on 31st July 2023. We can also accept candidates up to 24 years old if they have an Educational Health Care Plan)
  • Must not possess qualifications above level 3
  • Must not be in education or full-time work
  • Be willing to commit to all elements of the traineeship programme
  • Be willing to commit to a 6-12 month programme
